Since we're now in Level 2 we thought we'd continue with our monthly weeding blast.

There’s always more weeds to chop! HALO Whakatane is partnering up with Coast Care, Pest Free Ohope Spit Care Group, and the Shorebird Volunteers to clear invasive lupins and wattle from the Ohope Spit. We will be continuing our efforts in the southern tip of the spit, just on from where we finished last month.

We would love to see you there!

Please bring: sunblock, loppers, gardening gloves, water, hats, long pants (we will have spare gear if you don't have any).

Please also be mindful of Delta Level 2 restrictions. We will need to be mindful to sign in, sanitize hands, and if possible bring a mask. And if you're feeling unwell, give this weekend a miss and we'll see you at the next one.

Meeting location: At the road end, past the boat ramp, southern end of the golf course.

HALO will be bringing our BBQ and supplying sausages and bread (and tomato sauce!) so please RSVP.
